The Baja Protrucks went head to head against man, machine and the Arizona desert. Racing conditions were as good as they get when it comes to desert racing due in part to all the rain from the past few weeks that helped keep the dust down to a minimum. The battle for most of the day was between Jason Voss and Alan Levinson. The two teams were within 10 minutes of each other for most of the race. At one point Levinson had a water line come off. He was able to catch it in time and keep on going. In the end it would be Jason Voss who would take the win in his #1235 Ford Protruck with a winning time of 8:32:17. Second place went to Alan Levinson in his #1207 Ford Protruck with a time of 8:40:25. Third place went to Rob Clouser in his #1215 Dodge Protruck with a time of 9:28:19. Coming in fourth place was Dave Mason in his #1265 Ford Protruck with a time of 9:42:47. And rounding out the top five was Dave Creagan in his #1203 Chevy Protruck with a time of 9:51:38. The Protruck class had an astonishing 75% finishing ratio. The next double points event is the Del Mar Protruck Challenge June 28-20. We will announce more information on this event as it materializes. After that we will be heading to Colorado for the infamous Pikes Peak International Hill Climb July 14-20.
