There were lead changes through out the grueling over 500-mile race. But in the end the Vildosola Racing team’s Toyota truck# 1204 piloted by Gustavo Vildosola Jr. would take home the victory. "We ran a great race all day" said Vildosola. "I want to thank my team for doing a great job. I would also like to thank all of our sponsors, which includes Mexicana Logistics." The second place finish went to Agave Motorsports, Toyota truck #236 piloted by Rick L. Johnson winner of the Nevada 1000. Johnson was only 1 minute 43 seconds behind Vildosola. Third place went to Staats Racing, Truck# 220 piloted by Steve Staats. The Protruck Class had 3 vehicles finish in the top 10 overall (4th, 5th & 8th) Out of 77 total vehicles that started the race, and had an impressive 70% finishing rate. With two races left in the 2005 Protruck season, Vildosola Racing leads the field with 703 points followed closely by Al Hogan with 702 points.
