Note: The above point totals were derived from
each driver’s best 6 races or less depending on how many races
each individual driver has raced to date.
Double Points Events Only
After 5 Double Points Events or calculating drivers best 5 finishes
Best 6 Races Qualifies drivers for the Championship and Prize Money.
A Minimum of 6 races must be raced to qualify for the Protruck Championship and Prize Money.

Earning Points
The 2009 Baja Protruck Championship Racing Series awards point in three areas: Starting, Finishing and Placement.
All three scores are added together to get an event total points.

Intersection - Points Earned Based on # of Starters

Example: 6 starters, 3rd place would get 90 Position Points + 10 Starting Points + 5 Finishing Points for a total of 90 + 10 + 5 = 105 Points.
Note: For Double Starting Points Races:
Multiply your starting points points by 2. Then add your placing & finishing points to that total.
Note: For Bonus Points Races:
Starting points are 30 and finishing are 15. Add your Placing, Starting and Finishing points together to get your final total.

Manufacturer Standings
Points are awarded at only the "Double Points Events" listed below

Points are awarded on a race-by-race basis and
added throughout the season, based on the following system:
The Winning Car earns that manufacturer 9 points.
The Second Highest manufacturer receives 7 points.
The Third Highest manufacturer receives 5 points.
The Fourth Highest manufacturer receives 4 points.
The Fifth Highest manufacturer receives 3 points.
If no manufacturer is listed for a certain event,
then they had no trucks entered at that event or events.
